Description : On Sunday, 6 May 2012 The Gallery at Grande Provence will present an exhibition entitled 'The Painted Word'. This extensive group show will include artworks by prominent South African contemporary painters, sculptors and photographers.

The exhibition will also feature a display of altar pieces themed 'Altered Pieces' - based on the lyrics of Leonard Cohen and arranged by Gordon Froud.

Opening: 11h00 Sunday, 6 May 2012 | On view daily, from 10h00 - 17h00.

We also plan to present a lecture by the writer Riette Hugo on the subject of the use of artworks as visual enhancement in literature and language.
