Blue skies, casual country charm, an early morning fresh breeze, a bunch of brides running up and down Geelhoutboom Road in wedding gowns, friends, wine, great giveaways, laughter, entertainment for the kids, not forgetting the beef on the spit... The annual Tramonto Wedding Run is all about Fun, Festivities and Family. There is something to suite every taste and need which makes for the perfect day out.
Run
5km, 10km and 21km runs have been organised so the social runners and very fit will all be catered for. This year we have added an 8km Trail Run for the more adventurous.
This is a pre-entry event and NO race day entries are accepted.
Registration to collect bib and timing chip will take place on Saturday 20 August 2012 from 06:00 till 06:45 for 21.1km and 08:00 till 08:45 for 10km.
The 5km race and 1km Wedding Dash can enter on race day and no pre-entries are accepted for these races.
Entries for 5km are accepted from 08:00 till 08:45 and for Wedding Dash from 10:00 till 11:00.
Late entries and registration for the 8km Trail run will take place from 14:00 till 14:45.
MTB Family Fun Ride!!
Your chance to enjoy riding dirt trails at an event without worrying about racing pressure!
The 20km MTB family fun ride will start at 08h30 from the Tramonto Geelhoutboom entrance, winding through the farmlands and contours. This is a great way to get back on your bike or just enjoy the view on a social ride basis!
Registration at Tramonto Chapel from 07h00 – 07h45. No Entry Fee.
The Tramonto 1km Wedding Dash
Get Goofy or Groomy in your Gown or Wedding gear and join the very popular WEDDING DASH at 11:00. A few strict rules will apply though... All participants are required to wear a Wedding Gown or Wedding Attire!
NO ENTRY FEE! Entries will be accepted on race day from 10:00.
Drink and be Merry!!
All farms in the NLR portfolio will be making their produce available for tasting and purchase, whether it is to stock up your home collection or to just sit on the lawns with a bottle of Bubbly! Wines will be sold at Cellar Prices!!
Farms include Bon Courage, Hartenberg, Cape Point Vineyards, Hermanuspietersfontein, Diemersfontein, Louisvale, Kaapzicht, Raka Estate, Oak Valley Wines, Strandveld Wines, Ormonde Private Cellar, Weltevrede, Badenhorst family Wines, Rudera, Boschkloof, Jakkalsvlei, Rudera, Kleinood & Jorgensens’s Distillery.

Kids under the age of 10 will partake in a 60 meter dash @ 11h20!!
Great Value Food items such as Lunch Prego rolls @ R20 & Beef Spitbraai @ R50 per person!!
Tuck Shops/Coffee/Olives/Cheeses etc. will be available!
Live Local Bands will entertain the crowds throughout the afternoon adding to the general atmosphere and keeping guests in high spirits!
