These classic wines treasure the integrity of our grapes in every step of the wine-growing and winemaking journey.  Every glass demonstrates an unwavering commitment to world-class vineyard and cellar skills.

Nederburg's landmark Manor House that forms the centerpiece of our famous Paarl winery is the inspiration for our hand-made, varietal, "best of best" collection produced from top-performing vineyards.  The right of first selection belongs to Manor House.  Our viticultural and winemaking teams work jointly to identify fruit in each vineyard for the collection. Hand-picked grapes that stand out for their fine balance of fruit, acid and sugar, for their exceptional concentration and depth of aromas and flavours are reserved for Manor House wines.

Ingenuity is Nederburg's platform for innovation and houses exciting new blends made from lesser-known varietals or those combined in interesting new ways. As the name Ingenuity suggests, Nederburg's ensemble of novel blended wines is an expression of skilled and inventive winemaking intended to explore new pleasures of taste. It targets winelovers who are delighted by craftsmanship and originality.

A celebration of two centuries of skill, tradition and heritage, II Centuries forms the apex of the multi-tiered range of wines produced by Nederburg. All single-varietal wines, the "best of best" collection of hand-made wines are produced from grapes sourced from the best vines within top-performing vineyards jointly identified by our highly-skilled winemaking and viticultural teams. II Centuries wines are only available for sale from Nederburg in Paarl (+27.218623104) or through the Vinoteque Wine Bank (+27.218098280).

The Private Bin label is reserved for specialist, vineyard-selected, limited-edition wines that are hand-made and while classically styled, exhibit prominent fruit flavours. These wines are sold exclusively on the annual by-invitation-only Nederburg Auction.

Starting with a 2012 Chenin Blanc and a 2012 Cabernet Sauvignon, the lightly wooded wines take their name from the price of 5 600 guilders paid in 1791 by Philippus Wolvaart for the farm he was to call Nederburg.

The name is not just to commemorate a purchase price though, according to Nederburg cellar master, Razvan Macici. "We also commemorate the man himself. With these appealingly juicy, soft-textured wines, we are celebrating passion, time and 5600 guilders. When Wolvaart bought the farm, times were tough at the Cape. His hard work, indomitable and never-say-die spirit let him dream big and overcome the seemingly impossible. He inspires us to take the first bold step and enjoy life to the full."
