When was the last time you managed to escape city pressures and spend some restful time with the people who matter? Take an afternoon for yourself and your favourite people to unwind in the gentle gardens at Nederburg in view of the iconic, beautifully gabled manor house, and the majestic Drakenstein Mountains.

Savour Nederburg's award-winning wines and feast on the gorgeous Flavours of the Cape picnic selection. You'll find your basket brimming with freshly-baked bread, locally-produced cheeses, an assortment of crackers, preserves, cold meats, kebabs, smoked Franchhoek salmon trout, homemade salmon pâté, an olive and spinach tartlet, dips, salad and dessert. To drink, there's mineral water and a complimentary glass of Nederburg's delicious sparkling wine. Nederburg wines are also available for purchase to enjoy with your picnic.

A vegetarian picnic option is also available, where the cold meats and kebabs are replaced with roasted butternut and beetroot with rocket and pine nuts, and a Mediterranean couscous salad.

Kiddies' picnic baskets are also on offer. They include a home-made beef burger with creamy mayonnaise, fresh seasonal fruit, a packet of crisps, jelly sweets, yoghurt, 100% fruit juice, a complimentary toy, and a glass of sparkling grape juice to join in the fun.

Flavours of the Cape picnic baskets are available at a cost of R155 for regular and vegetarian options. Kiddies' picnic baskets are priced at R65 each.
