An impressive archway of pine trees lead to the historic Neethlingshof manor house which houses the Lord Neethling Restaurant. Situated on the prestigious Neethlingshof Wine Estate, the manor house which was built in 1914 is now a national monument, and its unique character has been carefully preserved. The restaurant consists of several rooms surrounding a large central foyer, the focal point of which is a beautiful 17th century French carpet. The decor is rich and elegant with gilt framed mirrors, antique furniture and a pair of Chinese silk tapestries

Enjoy the mountain views and delightful garden from the Palm Terrace which serves a variety of light meals including salads and pasta. The evening menu is predominantly Continental, but offers an interesting selection of South African dishes. For starters try the biltong with port and blue cheese soup - a delicious taste sensation. Meat lovers will enjoy the Springbok Schnitzel with wild mushrooms, or the Game Platter both of which are highly recommended. To compliment your meal enjoy one of the red wines from the new Lord Neethling range which was specially created to honour Marthinus Laurentius Neethling, the flamboyant character who lived at the estate in the 19th century.

Attached to the Lord Neethling Restaurant is a separate bar area and a very spacious function room which is ideal for conferences and special events such as weddings. The function room can accommodate between 140 and 180 people depending on whether the dance floor is required, and a number of set menus (including a buffet menu) are available to assist with catering arrangements.
