Beautifully gabled and finely proportioned, Nederburg’s manor house, completed in 1800, has become an icon in the Cape winelands. To enter the peaceful tranquility of the thatched-roofed, white-washed, H-shaped Nederburg manor house is to experience a distillation of life lived over 200 years ago.

The manor house can be booked as a venue for private functions, allowing for a maximum of 70 guests. The dining room can accommodate 12 guests, the lounge 40 guests and the music room 30 guests.

Breakfasts, lunches and dinners are served inside or in front of the manor house, but these must be pre-booked by contacting Sunette Rust on 021 862 3104 or on nedwines@distell.co.za.

CONFERENCES AT NEDERBURG WINES

The Nederburg Visitor Centre is an exquisitely located, well-quipped, stylish but comfortable conference and function venue with a flexible spatial configuration to suit a variety of needs and group sizes.

We can accommodate guests in a variety of formats, taking up to 45 people seated in a U-shape format, 48, seated classroom-style and 80, cinema-style.

Individually, the Manor House and Ingenuity rooms can accommodate 20 people in a U-shape format, 18, classroom-style and 40, cinema-style. The Winemasters’ Room can accommodate 20 people in a U-shape, 18, classroom-style and 40, cinema-style.

All these spaces are equipped with data projectors.

While we serve coffee, tea and biscotti on arrival and peppermints on the tables in the conference rooms as a standard offering, you can choose from a variety of refreshments according to your taste, as you will see from our menus prepared by our Manor House kitchen.

Meals can be served in the conference areas, outdoors (weather permitting) or in our historic Manor House that has been declared a national monument.

Please inform us of any special dietary requirements when booking. Please also note that while the kitchen does make provision for vegetarians, the premises are routinely used to prepare dishes using seafood, peanuts and gluten products.

We would be happy to take care of any additional requirements such as flower arrangements, décor or the provision of additional technical equipment, the costs for which will be added to your final invoice. We shall obviously advise you of these costs in advance and secure your approval for confirming.

FUNCTIONS AT NEDERBURG WINES

Nederburg’s beautifully gabled and finely proportioned 19th century Manor House, a national monument and icon in the Cape winelands, is an elegant function venue offering a combination of carefully chosen menus prepared by our Manor House kitchen and complemented by a suburb selection of Nederburg’s finest award-winning wines. The venue allows for a maximum of 70 guests.

Starting with a refreshing glass of sparkling wine on arrival at the peaceful and tranquil thatched-roofed, white-washed, H-shaped Cape Dutch Manor House, guests have time to enjoy and delight in the beautiful views from the verandah overlooking the verdant lawns, surrounding vineyards and majestic mountains.

A tasting of Nederburg’s Potstilled Solera Brandy with a superbly matched coffee blend of home-made biscotti, provides the perfect ending to an experience of a distillation of life lived over 200 years ago. Special Cuban cigars, for those who want to take it a step further, are offered for sale.

The cost per head includes sparkling wine on arrival and a brandy, coffee and biscotti tasting to end off the experience; the chosen menu items; stylishly laid tables, complete with crockery, cutlery, glassware, tablecloths and flowers from Nederburg’s lush gardens; friendly and well-trained service staff as well as soothing background music to set the mood. Please note that wine (excluding sparkling wine on arrival), water and juice are not included in the cost per head and will be added to your final invoice.
