Served exclusively to British Airways business class passengers on flights between the United Kingdom, Africa and India, this deep Persian Carpet red wine, akin to a complex and elegant tapestry, is hand stitched with sweet mulberry Pinotage notes, Cabernet Sauvignon pencil shavings and luscious Merlot black berries. Refined tannins unite with well-balanced oak thus completing the characteristics of these three varietals that make up this acclaimed Cape Blend. It is the perfect partner to succulent meats dishes such as duck, steak, lamb or roasts.

The Malan family of Simonsig created this wine as an ode to the visionary patriarch, Frans Malan, a craftsman of superior wines who left an indelible legacy in the Cape Winelands. Simonsig Estate is one of the early protagonists of the Cape Blend with this formidable Frans Malan Reserve.
