Kapel Guesthouse is situated on a wine farm in the heart of the Olifants River Valley, between Klawer and Vredendal. It is an ideal location to take a break from the commercial world and experience the countryside in absolute splendor. From this base you can explore the unique beauty of the flowers and tranquility of Namaqualand.

Freeman Patterson calls it: GARDEN OF THE GODS. It is also an ideal stop-over between Cape Town and Namibia on the N7. It is only a few minutes drive from Olifants River Valley's famous wine cellars, where the products of the local vine may be tasted and bought.

Relax in the garden, overlooking the river and vineyards and you will experience wonderful sunsets with lots of Quinea-fowls sleeping in the trees around the house.

Kapel Guesthouse is the perfect combination of new world standards and old world style. We serve delicious farm breakfasts, with a variety of homemade jams and fresh fruit from the farm. Take-aways are available on request and if you want to braai, everything can be provided.
