Middelvlei Wine Estate is situated on the slopes of Papegaaiberg overlooking the breathtaking Devon Valley. Experiencing the tranquil setting of luscious vineyards, neatly positioned around the dam with majestic mountains as a backdrop, one cannot imagine that the busy hub of Stellenbosch town is only 4km away.

Guests are welcomed on arrival by an array of farm animals. Port the donkey, Polla and Dolla the potbelly pigs, the Cameroon Pigmy goats, ducks, chickens and a hand-reared steenbok all add to an unforgettable farm experience.

The cottage offers a bedroom with two three-quarter twin beds, en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower, fully equipped kitchenette and a spacious living room with oversized folding doors opening onto a shady verandah overlooking the swimming pool.

In winter the hearty fireplace adds extra charm to this cozy cottage and with a full bouquet of DSTV programs a night in with a bottle of Middelvlei red wine, can be just as much fun as a night out in Stellenbosch.

The Momberg Cottage @ Middelvlei is very conveniently situated for guests to explore all the interesting tourist attractions in the area as well as the broad array of cuisine options which the Stellenbosch restaurants have to offer.

Directions to Middelvlei from Cape Town
· Take the N2 - direction Somerset West
· Take the Baden Powell/ Stellenbosch turnoff - exit 33
· Turn LEFT onto the R310 (direction Stellenbosch) at the stop sign
· Carry on for approximately 13 km until a T-junction is reached
· Turn RIGHT (R310 Stellenbosch)
· At the first set of traffic lights (Distell on right hand side), turn LEFT into Oude Libertas Road
· At the top of Oude Libertas Road, keep LEFT at the split (Flamingo street)
· Continue along Flamingo street - the entrance of Middelvlei is at the end of the road

OR

Directions to Middelvlei from Cape Town
· Take the N2 - direction Somerset West
· Take the Stellenbosch off-ramp LEFT - R44
· Carry on to Stellenbosch until you reach the Dorp Street traffic lights
· Turn LEFT into Dorp Street
· At the next traffic light turn LEFT into Oom Tas
· At the first set of traffic lights (Distell on left hand side), turn RIGHT into Oude Libertas Road
· At the top of Oude Libertas Road, keep LEFT at the split (Flamingo street)
· Continue along Flamingo street - the entrance of Middelvlei is at the end of the road
