At Grande Provence Heritage Wine Estate, Franschhoek, we are able to offer our unique wine tasting and pairing experiences at 'The Cathedral.' Located near The Gallery, this space has been named to reference the high cathedral-style roof design and can host 60 guests at any time. This venue makes it possible for wine tasting activities to be available as part of a conference or corporate event.

Grande Provence's internationally acclaimed, award-winning wines can be enjoyed as a Wine Tasting activity or as a special Wine/Food Pairing experience - known as the Tastes of Grande Provence. Reservations are essential.

The Tastes of Grande Provence brings wine and cuisine together superbly, with suggestions and recommendations given for the "dos & don'ts" of this combination.

  • Wine Tasting with four Grande Provence wines: R40.00 per person.
  • Limited Release Wine Tasting with six wines: R50.00 per person.
  • Cellar Tours: R15.00 per person.
  • Tastes of Grande Provence with four wines & four gourmet tastes: R80.00 per person.
  • Tastes of Grande Provence with five wines (including the flagship Grande Provence) & five gourmet tastes: R100.00 per person.

    The Winery at Grande Provence is open for wine tasting from 10h00 - 18h00 daily with Cellar Tours weekdays at 11h00 and 15h00, except during harvest.

    Directions from Cape Town (± one hour)
    Take the N1 highway to Paarl. Take exit number 55 Paarl-Main Road/Franschhoek.
    Turn right at the bottom of the exit and drive for 1.3km, passing under the N1 highway. Turn left onto the R45 to Franschhoek at the Franschhoek sign. Continue along the R45 to Franschhoek and you will see Grande Provence on the right hand side just before you enter the Franschhoek Village.

    Directions from Stellenbosch (± 30 minutes)
    Take the Helshoogte Pass (R310) toward Franschhoek (± 16km). As you make your way over the pass, you will drive through the village of Pniel. Towards the end of the pass, you will pass Boschendal Wine Estate on your right hand side and cross a railway line before reaching a T-junction. At the T-junction, turn right onto the R45 to Franschhoek. Continue along the R45 to Franschhoek and you will see Grande Provence on the right hand side just before you enter the Franschhoek Village.
