J.C. Le Roux La Vallee 2000

A distinctive, powerfully flavoured off-dry Methode Cap Classique that appeals to all palates, J.C. Le Roux La Vallee displays classic spice, yeast and citrus tones. La Vallee 2000 has a well-defined structure and reveals classic charm with added depth. The bubbly displays good complexity and a lingering aftertaste.

It can be enjoyed with spicy food like curry or orange duck and is excellent with desserts such as creme brulee.

in the vineyard : The grapes were sourced from vineyards in the Stellenbosch region, planted from 1993 to 1996 at altitudes ranging from 180 to 245 metres above sea level.

about the harvest: The handpicked grapes were carefully placed in small baskets to prevent bruising. In the cellar, the juice was settled overnight and racked before being inoculated with Prisse de Mousse yeast, a French yeast strain which results in the typical yeasty character of a fine Mwthode Champenoise-style sparkling wine.
