This is a youthful, fresh wine and though finished just off-dry, is well-balanced with good fruit acid, making it an excellent drinking wine which does not taste sweet.

As in the past, the Colombard continues to be one of the shining stars in the Weltevrede range. The grapes were harvested in the early morning when they are at their coolest, thereby preserving all the flavours and varietal characteristics. After being innoculated with a selected yeast, controlled fermentation temperatures ensured a steady fermentation. After fermenting dry, the best tank was selected and after clarifying, the wine was brought to its bottling sweetness with grape concentrate.
