TWEE JONGE GEZELLEN (TJ), 'in the family' since 1710, has always been synonymous with terms like pioneering, ground-breaking ... TJ is the oldest family farm in the pioneer district of Tulbagh and the second oldest family-owned wine estate in South Africa. Translated, it means Two Young Bachelors or Two Young Companions.

The HOUSE OF KRONE was formed to recognise the significance of Nicky Krone's contribution to the brand and to differentiate the Krone family's Méthode Cap Classique (MCC) sparkling wines from its Twee Jonge Gezellen range of still wines.

Despite having such a low alcohol & lower kilojoule content, this wine is high on aroma & character, highlighting qualities that Nicky Krone aimed at achieving: fruity bouquet, balanced acidity, and an interesting complexity on the palate with a crisp, clean finish.

T.J. Light was the first wine ever to be granted the SA Heart & Stroke Foundation seal of approval (since the early 1980's) and is enjoyed by both men and women as a wine which can be consumed any day of the week.
