Wildekrans Estate is a boutique winery situated near Bot River in the Southern Cape. It's wines, which are an expression of the unique cool climate terrior, originate in vineyards that are located on rolling hills overlooking Walker Bay.
The estate is planted to around 65 hectares of most red and white varietals with future plantings set to enrich and balance the portfolio. This year has seen the addition of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, two quintessential cool climate varieties, destined for a future variation of the estate’s Cap Classique.
We have recently completed renovating and upgrading ten old cottages on the estate which are now available as self catering getaways. These luxuriously appointed cottages are situated between a vineyard and a plum orchard on the banks of the Bot River with the most beautiful mountain views, and are the perfect refuge from every-day life. We have also recently launched our Conference Facility ideal for events and weddings.
There are many local attractions such as hiking, mountain biking, bird watching, swimming - in our dam or swimming pool - golf at nearby Arabella and of course wine tasting.
Over the years Wildekrans has accumulated numerous accolades and awards.
Wildekrans forms part of the Green Mountain EcoRoute, a group of local wine farms and other attractions committed to conservation, sustainability and upliftment. As members of the Biodiversity and Wine Initiative the estate is currently conducting a count of birds and other wildlife, which occur naturally on the farm.
