The Stellenbosch American Express Wine Routes is one of the biggest tourist attractions in the Western Cape. The original Stellenbosch Wine Route was founded in 1971 and has been promoting its members for more than 30 years.
 


Quality wines, quality times at Wine Connoisseurs evening - Stellenbosch Wine Festival 2009

Wine lovers visiting the Stellenbosch Wine Festival this year can expect only the best when attending the Wine Connoisseurs evening, exclusive to all wine lovers. The Wine Connoisseurs evening takes place on Thursday 30 July and marks the beginning of the 8th annual Stellenbosch Wine Festival at the Paul Roos Centre in Stellenbosch, 30 July to 2 August.
The evening promises to be a real treat for wine lovers who want to escape the crowds, while enjoying the best Stellenbosch has to offer. More than 500 wines will be available for tasting while guests have the wonderful opportunity to rub shoulders with entertaining winemakers such as Beyers Truter, Abrie Beeslaar, Kevin Arnold and Ntsiki Biyela.

Indulge in supreme quality wines while taking pleasure in the conversation of true experts. The evening also marks the official opening of the 8th Stellenbosch Wine Festival - 30 July to 02 August - one of the biggest country food and wine festivals in the Cape.

The Wine Connoisseurs evening starts at 16h00 and ends at 21h00.

Tickets for the evening are available from Computicket for R150 pp and include a welcome snack and bubbly on arrival, as well as wine tastings. Alternatively, get your hands on a Golden Pass for R300pp providing you access to all four days of the festival.
