Bartinney's plan has come together! The talented Therese de Beer's superbly structured, complex and balanced 2008 Chardonnay has scooped the "Best Chardonnay in South Africa" award at the recently held 2010 South African Terroir Wine Awards.

Dave Hughes, South Africa's renowned international wine expert and judge comments that "The SA Terroir Wine Awards honour the wines which truly portray South Africas different wine growing areas, making it the most exclusive wine competition on the international scene."

Bartinney's vision and total commitment to the production of world-class wines from this prime terroir in the spectacular Banhoek Valley is starting to pay dividends. With world-renowned producers as neighbours, this Stellenbosch ward has earned a reputation for magnificent wines that can stand their ground to the best wines in the world!

Bartinney is one of the new kids on the block with the 2008 vintage being their maiden vintage. If this award is a sign of things to come, then it's fair to say that their plan is only starting to come together.

Their range is focused with a mouth-watering 2009 Sauvignon blanc having wine lovers raving and earning recognition from South Africa's leading wine writers! The soon to be released 2009 Bartinney Cabernet Sauvignon has a quiet confidence hanging in the mountain air above the farm! Watch this space...! Their entry-level range, "Noble Savage" currently consist of a 2008 Noble Savage Cabernet / Merlot. This sexy blend of mischief personifies a sophisticated, debonair Noble Savage. The intense, powerful flavour of the Cabernet Sauvignon is classic, dark and interesting, integrating harmoniously with the softer, sexier, more sensuous and not overly serious Merlot. Visit www.noblesavage.co.za for more info on this delectable wine.

The friendly staff and family at Bartinney invite you to enjoy a glass of white or red wine in their newly constructed wine tasting facility when in the Boland region. While enjoying your wine, you can marvel at spectacular views of the farm, the valley and of the surrounding mountains.

A visit to Bartinney will soothe your soul and remind you that life is beautiful!
