| Inn on the Square, Cape Town's landmark hotel on Greenmarket Square, is
kicking off the first of their monthly wine pairing evenings on
Wednesday, 16 May, to celebrate a fusion of culture, cuisine and fine
wine.

Under the direction of the newly appointed Food and Beverage Manager, Francois Momberg, Dish restaurant invites guests to experience a five-course meal paired with specifially chosen wines from Boekenhoutskloof Wine Estate in Franschhoek.
Representing one of the oldest farms in the Franschhoek region, Boekenhoutskloof is reputable for producing world class wines which inculdes The Woolftrap, Porcupine Ridge and The Chocolate Block ranges. Johan Nesenberend, the winemaker of Porcupine Ridge, will be hosting the Wine Pairing evening at the heritage hotel.
The night begins with carrot and mint soup to start, followed by a choice of pan fried scallops on beetroot carpaccio or roasted baby root vegetable, arugula and parmesan with a port sauce. After a mango sorbet to cleanse the palate, guests have the choice of sea bass with sweet corn puree, date mash and tangy lemon and lime zestola or the slow cooked lamb with whole grain mash and a coffee bean jus for their main course. The grand finale of creme brule or bread and butter pudding with hot custard completes this culinary adventure.
