Rolling out the red carpet on Father's Day

The Vineyard Hotel and Spa and the Western Cape Rolls Royce Enthusiasts Club are treating fathers to a few of their favourite things this Father's Day, Sunday 17 June.
“Members of the Western Cape’s Rolls Royce Enthusiasts Club will display their vintage cars at the entrance of the hotel for viewing on the day,” explains Roy Davies, the Vineyard Hotel and Spa’s General Manager. “L’Ormarins Wine Estate has also hopped on board, to ensure that each dad lunching at the Square Restaurant receives a complimentary voucher for the Franschhoek Motor Museum. Goody bags and lucky draw prizes will round off what is bound to be a perfect day out for fathers and their families.”

The Square team have devised a hearty Father’s Day lunch for guests to help sate the appetites they’ve worked up admiring cars. A choice between pea and ham soup or smoked Norwegian salmon on ciabatta will start the meal, followed by a roast fillet of Chalmar beef or baked line fish for mains. Dessert will consist of vanilla cheesecake and caramel fudge ice cream, or a rich chocolate truffle pudding served with Bailey’s ice cream.

“We will also offer a reduced special wine list which will include L’Ormarins Estate’s highly acclaimed Anthonij Rupert range of wines,” explains Davies. “The combination of great food, speciality wines and stunning antique cars is a perfect Father’s Day treat for any dad.”
