Rudera Wines win further international acclaim

Rudera Wines, the boutique wine producer known for exceptional Cabernet Sauvignon and Chenin blanc wines, has scored 90 points and more for its current wine releases in the USA by the Wine Enthusiast and the Wine Spectator, some of the world's most influential magazines devoted exclusively to wine and spirits.
The Wine Enthusiast scored the 2008 vintage of Rudera Noble Late Harvest 90 points in the July 2012 issue. The Rudera Platinum Chenin Blanc 2009 also received 90 points in the Chenin Blanc line up in the same issue. The Rudera Platinum Chenin blanc 2009 previously scored 90 in the September 2011 issue of The Wine Spectator.

In May 2012, the Wine Enthusiast gave a rating of 91 points for the elegant Rudera Cabernet Sauvignon 2008 and singled it out as an Editor’s Choice – a distinction awarded to but a few select wines of excellent quality. Wine Enthusiast gave the Rudera Robusto Chenin Blanc 2009 a score of 90 points in the same issue. This follows on the heels of the inaugural Classic Chenin Blanc Top Ten competition hosted by Classic Wine Magazine where this wine joined the ranks of the TOP TEN South African Chenin Blancs. (Rudera Robsuto achieved the highest average score, according to the audit report compiled by DeLoitte).

In the Wine Enthusiast May 2012 issue The Rudera De Tradisie Chenin Blanc 2009 scored 89 in the same Chenin Blanc line up. A gold medal has been awarded to this wine at the 2010 Santam Classic Wine Trophy competition.

The Wine Spectator February 2012 issue scored the 2007 vintage Rudera Platinum Cabernet Sauvignon 90 point. The Rudera Platinum Cabernet Sauvignon 2007 won a double gold medal at VERITAS 2011 (one of only six wines of this variety to have achieved this distinction).
