Spier is an award-winning wine farm near Stellenbosch. Established in 1692, Spier's cultural heritage includes a restored Manor House, an unrivalled collection of 21 Cape Dutch gables and the country's oldest dated wine cellar (1767).
Spier won the 2012 SA Young Wine Show's Pietman Hugo trophy and was named 2011 Producer of the Year: Overseas at the prestigious Mundus Vini awards, as well as Most Successful Producer at the 2011 Old Mutual Trophy Wine Show. This follows on the successes of Veritas 2009 and 2010 when we were the top performing winery.
The Spier cellar has ISO 22000 certification, is Fair Trade accredited, organically certified and follows the Integrated Production of Wine (IPW) criteria. |
