Simonsig adds soul with feast of Red wine & Blues(R&B)

Simonsig hits all the right notes with a sizzling collaboration of blue blooded red wines and rhythmic Blues, which will add a whole lot of soul to the Winelands during an exclusive wine and dine evening at the estate's signature restaurant, Cuvée on Friday, 30 July.
During this 'one night only' R&B celebration, radiant red winemaker Debbie Thompson, past winner of the Women Winemaker of the Year will share her latest cellar gems during an intimate wine tasting experience, right there at the comfort of your own table.

The chosen wines for the evening include Debbie's multi-awarded Redhill Pinotage and the estate's flagship Bordeaux-style red blend, Tiara. The wines will be complemented by a nostalgic three course menu that will take the senses back into history with Cuvée now embracing the revival of old fashioned charm with creative flair.

Stellenbosch Blues maestro Gerald Clark, better known as the red headed lead singer of Delta Blue, gets the toes tapping with a riveting, live performance straight from the banks of the Mississippi. Gerald even plucks the Blues strings in Afrikaans, with hits from his first Afrikaans Blues album, Sweepslag, also on the playlist for the evening. He will be joined by Schalk Joubert, one of SA's top bass guitarists who recently launched his debut album Kayamandi.

Cuvée restaurant savours the spirit of friendship in a homely yet stylish atmosphere, glowing with fireplaces and creature comforts, which all add to the restaurant's loyal following.

This special evening of 'R&B' costs R250 per head and includes a complimentary wine tasting of five Simonsig red wines, a three course dinner and live music.
