Discover your senses at the 38th Nederburg Auction

This year's Nederburg Auction plans to embrace all five senses with its theme, Discover Your Senses, when guests encounter more than 150 rare, premium wines that will come under the hammer of Anthony Barne MW on 28th and 29th September.
Nederburg Auction business manager Dalene Steyn says; “As wine appeals so naturally to all five senses, for us it was an obvious connection. We hope to offer guests a sensory feast that centres on a premium wine experience.”

Marking 38 years of selling the cream of South Africa’s wines, the New World’s oldest auction continues to be an occasion for celebration. Friday’s business-orientated format kicks off with an informal tasting of all auction wines before the bidding begins in earnest, leading into the more leisurely, lifestyle-orientated pace of Saturday’s programme, with beautiful food, art and entertainment - a complete sensory experience for guests.

Dalene believes that this year’s theme will really resonate with both buyers and the end-consumer. “Much of the world around us is shaped by our experiences. This engagement is just as true in the world of wine, and our experiences are in turn guided by what our senses tell us. To really tap into this would be to elevate our wine experience to a new level, and what better way than with a collection of the best wines that South Africa can offer.”
