Hotel Izulu welcomes Tokara to its KZN Wine Market

The 5-star Hotel Izulu in Ballito in conjunction with wine estate Tokara from Stellenbosch will be holding a wine market on Sunday, 26 August 2012.
Hotel Izulu in Ballito welcomes the award-winning wine estate Tokara from Stellenbosch to its monthly wine market, taking place on Sunday, 26 August 2012.

Guests can enjoy a day of food and wine pairing with these award-winning wines from 12h00 onwards, at a cost of R150 per person, with entertainment by the band ‘Afritude’.

Some of the food and wine pairing options are – asparagus and lemongrass tartlet with olive tapenade and parmesan shavings paired with Sauvignon Blanc 2011, a trio of smoked salmon canapés paired with Elgin Sauvignon Blanc 2011 and grilled tiger prawns with pineapple, chilli and lemon salsa paired with Chardonnay 2011.

Further options include – lamb bunny chow served with homemade pickles paired with Cabernet Sauvignon 2010, beef fillet with pepper served with a hash brown and a beetroot chutney paired with Shiraz 2010.

Kid’s selection includes burgers, hot dogs and ice cream cones. Hotel Izulu’s Deli will also offer soup, cheese boards, breads, biscuits and Hotel Izulu’s famous fudge.

All of the wines are available for purchase at a special reduced price by the bottle. Wine chillers are also available to purchase at R79 each.
