Lucas de Kock joined Naude as Viticulturist at Dornier in 2001 after beginning his career in the mid-1990s. Together they traveled extensively to viticultural areas in both hemispheres and in the process not only gained wider perspectives in production but also synthesized their own approach, each informed by the other's expertise.

When the opportunity to create Adoro presented itself, de Kock was the natural completion of the circle. Microclimate, terroir, vine management, winemaking and blending are inextricably woven together in their bringing the wine from place to bottle.
