Having spent many happy and productive years as psychologist, Riana Hall turned her hobby and passion for wine into a full time career. In addition to extensive travel through the wine regions of France, Spain, Italy, Australia and New Zealand, Riana has completed courses at The Cape Wine Academy up to Diploma 1 level. She is enthusiastic and deeply committed to the sustainable development of the South African wine industry. She firmly believes that an ecologically sensitive environment produces infinitely better grapes as is evident of the terroir driven wines of Rudera.
Riana looks for quality and complexity in both the wines Rudera makes and those she drinks, doing both with great dedication and attention to detail. Along with exceptional wines, old friends and close family are among the blessings she values.
