Unathi Mantshongo joined VinPro on 1 November as transformation and development officer. She previously worked as viticulturist and grape buyer at Nederburg Winery.
She holds a BSc Viticulture and Oenology degree from Stellenbosch University and has extensive experience in the wine industry following positions as viticulturist, grape buyer and farm manager, among others, at KWV, Laborie and Distell.
Unathi will coordinate the initiatives of VinPro’s transformation and development division, along with manager Phil Bowes. Going forward, she will be responsible for overseeing the implementation of funded initiatives aimed at promoting and accelerating transformation throughout the wine value chain, with a key focus on enterprise development.
