Ralph Reynolds

Ralph Reynolds is a certified Cape Sommelier who is currently working at Aubergine Restaurant.

Ralph Reynolds only got into wine a little later in life. He started off his career as the front-of-house and bar manager for Charlie Crofts in Durban and Richard's Bay, before moving to Karibu at the V&A Waterfront in Cape Town where he worked as waiter and assistant sommelier.

After a brief break from the restaurant, he rejoined the team in 2011 and soon worked his way up to become the sommelier, bar manager and front-of-house manager. He is currently a sommelier at Aubergine Restaurant in Cape Town, where he has been working since 2016.

He is a certified Cape Sommelier through the Cape Wine Academy (CWA) and a member of the South African Sommeliers Association (SASA). In addition, he has completed the Court of Master Sommeliers (CMS) Introductory Sommelier and WSET Level 3 courses.
