Born and bred in Zambia, the passion for creative writing moved me down south to this buoyant city of Cape Town to pursue a career in the film industry as a screenplay writer. Tumbled into hospitality 3years ago, working as a Waiter at a bistro style, exclusive restaurant in Cavendish mall; JB Rivers. It’s there where I discovered this complex, yet endearing beverage called wine. From fascinating about pouring it in a variety of glassware while serving guests, to enjoying savouring the sensation of it’s mystic elements on my palate, wine has followed me since, till this day when I’m mastering the art of serving a guest in a fine dining setting in Azure Restaurant at the Twelve Apostles, overlooking the breath taking Azure sea view. The intrigue of discovering what makes this thousands of years known to man beverage still so complex has led me to take this step on to the path of undoubtedly a remarkable journey of discovery….
