In the intimate space of Cuvée, guests can listen to cast members perform while indulging in a four-course menu specially created by Chef Lucas Carstens for the evening accompanied by Simonsig’s award-winning wines.
Opera stars Mandisinde Mbuyazwe (Il conte di Almaviva), Siphamandla Yakupa (Susanna), Lukhanyo Moyake (Basilio), Arline Jaftha (La contessa di Almaviva), Mandla Mndebele (Figaro) and Pelisa Myendeki (Marcellina) will perform beloved sections of Mozart’s romantic comedy, with pianist Esté Visser providing the accompaniment.
In the second half of the evening’s programme, the cast will perform to some lighter music by Kurt Weill, Langston Hughes, Rodgers and Hammerstein and Frederick Loewe.
This provides a rare opportunity to experience an intimate operatic experience along with a relaxed gourmet meal and stupendous wines.
