We suggest making a weekend of this event as there is plenty to do in the area including the Boat house which serves great pizza, the pont to get to Witsand, the bush pub for a relaxing drink on the river, and the Fish Eagles Boat Cruise for a relaxing three hour cruise along the river. De Hoop is a 30 minute drive, here you can enjoy walks, relaxation and lovely views. Swellendam is a 40 minute drive and has great dining options including La Sosta which recently received Eat Out Best Italian Restaurant in South Sfrica, Field and Fork and Koornland.
