Juliet Cullinan has once again handpicked 50 celebrated producers to showcase their best vintages at the most exclusive, longest running wine event throughout South Africa.

Small and select, the Juliet Cullinan Standard Bank Wine Festival is known for presenting vintages of distinction and quality in an elegant setting. Ms Cullinan created this unique marketing platform to acknowledge and celebrate the skills of talented individual winemakers.

Says Ms Cullinan: “We’ve built our reputation on continuity, celebration and a commitment to offer the best experience for both winery and taster. We bring the top talent to the attention of wine connoisseurs the world over by showcasing elite boutique wineries. This provides the ideal forum for interaction between wine aficionados and gifted cellar masters. And it’s fun!

“Wine lovers enjoy comparing grape, terroirs, and tastes with ‘the faces behind the label’ and can discuss varieties, vintages and maturation for hours. Winemakers enjoy pouring their own wines for knowledgeable tasters who are able to compare local with international styles and ask interesting questions.

“Their enthusiasm sparks me. I love sharing knowledge about the tradition of wine so anyone with a love for the fermented grape is welcome. Standard Bank’s 16 years of sponsorship has enabled the Juliet Cullinan Standard Bank Wine Festival to grow in stature and excellence. I expect this year’s event to be our best yet.”
