The Taste of Darling is all about exploring Darling. There is no set venue, but rather a stroll through our quaint little village will offer you something to see, to do, to taste and to listen to all around.

As summer draws to an end and the warm, sunny weather migrates North, we wave goodbye to all the festivals that are so synonymous with the season in Cape Town; wine, beer, music and food celebrations are a weekly occurrence that will be missed over the coming months. So as a final farewell, the sleepy town of Darling has decided to throw one last celebration - a super-festival of sorts that brings together the best of the area’s produce. We’re talking about The Taste of Darling festival, which takes place from Wednesday, 26 April to Monday, 1 May 2017.

Our own Tannie Evita, Jenny & The Jameses, StuArt and many other performaners and artists will be there.  The music will range from classical, country rock, contemporary to the golden oldies.

We will have a Grand Parade through the streets of Darling; by Darling! There will also be local food & wine pairings, cheese tastings and platters, charcuterie, sweets, beer, delicious street food vendors- from Mexican to Italian Pizza and not forgetting the fantastic menu offerings from our various restaurants.

Tour through Darling Brew, experience the art of cheesemaking, visit our soap maker in her studio, meet some artists as they are painting and tour through our olive farm.

Best of all - there is no admission fee for The Taste of Darling. Instead, certain musical performances and live shows will carry a separate entry fee that will help to support the local businesses and attractions in Darling.
