Whether you are looking for a new hobby, the perfect present for a loved one or friend, or just hoping to literally “UnWined”, then this is the course for you.
Share with your family and friends and get a group together for a fun-filled evening. By the end of this six-week course, run every Thursday starting on 2nd Oct, you’ll know a barrique from a bouquet – and a whole lot more.
Perfect for restaurateurs, regular dinner-party hosts and lovers of wine, this wine appreciation course will provide you with a solid foundation in wine tasting and appreciation. At each of the six sessions, six wines, brought by wine-makers and personalities from respected wine estates, will be tasted and talked about.
Red and white grape varieties will be discussed to give you an idea of how the wine’s flavours are developed. Everything from viognier, chardonnay, shiraz and pinot noir, as well as some "seemingly strange" wines, will be covered. The course fee includes tutored wine-tasting, lectures and tasting sheets. Naturally, the environment will be a relaxed one, during which you can ask questions – it’s a wonderful way to (learn to) appreciate wine, among other wine lovers.
The order of itinerary and speakers are still to be confirmed but the topics will be as follows:
