Nederburg celebrates Mother’s Day

Show and tell your mom in one loving, grand gesture just how special she is to you. Driving up to the beautiful, historic manor house is a treat in itself, with generous views of vineyards, gardens and mountains. But it’s at The Red Table restaurant that the experience will really begin.
New chef Edmore Ruzoza and his team have conjured up a delectable menu to match Nederburg’s glorious wines this Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 10. Feast on deep fried camembert with cranberry and fig chutney for starters, followed by oven-baked yellow tail, roasted fennel, cauliflower and pecan nut mash or biltong encrusted fillet if you’re a meat lover. Indulge your sweet tooth with frosted Nederburg Noble Late Harvest, served with delectable white chocolate and caramel fondant.

Join Natasha Boks, who makes Nederburg’s white wines, and her mom, Mary, to celebrate.

There will be a wide selection of Nederburg wines, offered by the glass and by the bottle, including the Nederburg Winemaster’s Reserve, Heritage Heroes and Ingenuity collections. Winemaker Natasha will be close by to tell you more about the wines, and make suitable pairing suggestions.

The Red Table’s à la carte menu will also be available on the day and features food for everyone, with prices for starters starting at R55, light meals at R65, mains at R95 and desserts at R55 a dish. Kids are also catered for. Vegetarians and those with special dietary needs can be accommodated.
