All guests attending the Nederburg Auction have the privilege of tasting the wines that will be auctioned on Friday 17th and Saturday 17th Sept respectively, prior to the start of each day’s bidding.
A handful of the really scarce wines are not available in the tasting line-up – some wines truly are too rare to taste! The tastings are hosted by the producers themselves, providing an ideal networking opportunity.
Aside from the iconic auction wines, guests will be seduced by the delicious cuisine, including breakfast canapés both days, a beautiful sit-down lunch on Friday and an alfresco lunch experience on Saturday accompanied by live entertainment. And of course no meal is complete without a quality beverage –fine wine and other drinks are served throughout the event, from the moment guests arrive, to when they leave, and all eating and bidding activity in-between. Qualified baristas are on hand to serve a variety of coffees throughout both days.
This exclusive experience is accessible by invitation only. Invitations are limited and distributed at the discretion of the Nederburg Auction.
Tickets are available to purchase for R1 000, which covers your attendance for both days. Tickets for partners are available for Saturday at a cost of R500. Kindly indicate in the message tab if you are applying for a buyer ticket only, or in the event you would like to attend on Saturday, if your application also includes a partner ticket.
This is a once off cost, as all serious buyers will automatically be included on the Auction’s future guest list at no charge. Please note that this additional income will be donated directly to the charity auction beneficiaries as a means to boost overall income generated through the charity auction sale.

FRIDAY 16 SEPTEMBER 2016
Day one of the Nederburg Auction is more formal and largely business
orientated, with the bulk of the wines in the line-up being auctioned.
Buyers attending Friday therefore do so without partners, utilising the
opportunity to taste the wines that are part of the day’s bidding
line-up. The tasting automatically provides the business backdrop for
both networking and finalising the bidding strategy for the day.
There is further opportunity to network and connect with key players
in the industry over the business lunch, which also gives buyers a
chance to refresh and prepare for the second half of the day’s bidding.
Business attire is required for Friday.

SATURDAY 17 SEPTEMBER 2016
Day two of the Nederburg Auction is characterised by a more relaxed
atmosphere, with a guest speaker, entertainment and a beauty and fashion
lifestyle component that partners of invited guests will enjoy.
Saturday morning focuses on auctioning the remaining lots to buyers,
generally concluding at around midday and moving straight into the
charity auction, which is open to everyone and always extremely well
supported.
Once all the hard work is done, guests and their partners are invited
to relax into the social lunch, which often extends into the late
afternoon. Considering the more relaxed occasion of the Saturday, it
goes without saying that dress code is always something really special,
and often aligned with the theme for the day, which is communicated to
buyers before the time.
