This year the 6th annual Swartland Country Market returns to the Kirstenbosch Stone Cottages on the 8th of October to delight visitors with a tasty selection of the Swartland’s finest fare.

The Swartland Country Market is a family-friendly event has been tailored with foodies in mind. Inspired by the Cape of Good Hope's legacy as trade post along the maritime route that led to the alluring Spice Isles, our producers bring you a range of delectable olives, baked goods, wine, coffee, fresh produce & more. Our stalls are packed to the rafters with everything from farm-fresh eggs and fragrant spice rubs to creamy cheeses and glistening jams. Pick up some ingredients to experiment at home, or buy a delicious ready-made meal, pull up a chair and let our live musicians entertain you as you settle in for the day.

Small and rustic but nevertheless widely renowned, the Swartland Country Market has attracted the enthusiastic attention of a host of Cape Town locals and discerning travellers who consistently return for more of our festive fare. The initiative also provides a platform where people from diverse backgrounds can mingle to enjoy the festive spirit of our bourgeoning community.
All of our vendors are proudly local and have been hand-selected for the passion that they display for their various crafts. Visitors can look forward to everything from artisanal foods to botanicals, herbs, paintings, jewellery, bath products and more. We invite you to browse, taste and peruse at your leisure - it's the perfect place to shop for a picnic and then find a spot to enjoy an al fresco lunch accompanied by some delicious Swartland wine.
