Moving the festival into its new slot in the summer season from 3 to 5 March 2017 and to a beautiful new venue, the Soweto Theatre, the Soweto Wine and Lifestyle Festival is granting the organisers carte blanche to create a new wave wine revolution, introducing day-time wine and food tastings, new visual delights, VIP spaces and places, and outdoor cook-off type activities that will excite, delight and educate all.
The festival was originally designed to bring Cape wines into
Johannesburg’s largest township, Soweto, which is known for its
trendsetting values and people, to expose this magnificent movement to
the country’s oldest unique wine etiquettes and cultures. Over this
period, the festival has expanded, becoming the most wonderfully
integrated event in Johannesburg, where the only colours you see are
red, white or rose.

selection of gastronomies to suit all varieties and tastes from
