The Blaauwklippen Family Market has become renowned for being the best way to spend a Sunday in the Western Cape. Not only are there a wide range of mouth-watering foods and creative crafts, but there’s also fantastic entertainment and plenty of space for the kids to run free and play.

We’re once again joined by the Gregorian Antique Fair – the place to be seen and to spend some time amongst the stalls chock-a-block with all kinds of collectables. One of the guests’ favourite artists, Newton Theron, will be performing. You will enjoy his renditions of popular songs, especially the favourites of the 70s and 80s; some of his songs even turn into a bit of a sing-along!

12 February
On this Sunday, with Valentine’s Day only two days away, Dirkie and Thalisa will be performing at the market. This guitar and violin duo knows how to woe the guests with their lively performances.
Blaauwklippen will also be running an incredible wine promotion on the lovely Blaauwklippen Dry Red, available for only R30 a bottle, the perfect accomplice to romantic endeavours.
Bring a blanket; sit on the lawn and bask in the sun or look for a shady spot to while away a lazy Sunday. Please just remember that private picnics are not allowed at the market.

19 February
Oh, happy day! It’s Vineyard Doggy Walk! Since it’s still summer, the walk, in aid of Helderberg Animal Welfare Society, starts at 9h00 and will cost you R20. Your furry friend, of course, walks for free. Enjoy another fine morning amongst the vineyards where the vines are heavy with grapes – ready to be harvested and turned into wine.
Stuart is back at the market to entertain you with his fine performance of crowd favourites.

Slowly summer is slipping away from us, but the Blaauwklippen Family Market remains constant. The trees still provide ample shelter; the lawns still spread out to welcome you and your loved ones and the traders are still there to serve you with all kinds of treats.
Fresh fruit juice, cocktails and iced tea; Mexican food, Greek wraps and delicious vegan/vegetarian wraps; “potjiekos”, pancakes and delicious cake and cupcakes. Stalls with stunning sunglasses; clothes, scarves and hats are spread out along the lawns; all this you will find here – not under one roof but under the Blaauwklippen wild figs.
Ricky Nass is an artist who knows his Blues. He performs hits from the 80s and 90s – with a bluesy undertone. Guests always enjoy his music and rustic voice enormously.
