The Ian Smith Big Band is made of the most advanced musicians from the Delft Big Band combined with some of SA’s finest pro musicians . The result is explosive. Although renowned for the classic instrumentals from the likes of Glen Miller ,Benny Goodman ,Count Basie and Duke Ellington to mention a few it is clear that the vocal icons of yesteryear and today from Sinatra, Ella Fitzgerald, Bobby Darin through to Michael Buble’ ,Robbie Williams and Phil Collins, must also be given credit for the continued tradition of the big band.
