description
The AKTV national music competition is the biggest and most extensive annual music competition for classical instrumentalists under the age of twenty-five in South Africa. Last year, for the first time in its decades old history, the first prize was awarded to a saxophonist. The 2011 winner, Abraham Mennen, accompanied by Philippus Hugo, performs works showcasing the versatility of the instrument.
