Mont Rochelle Mountain Vineyards is situated in the picturesque Franschhoek wine valley, on the slopes of the Dassenberg Mountains, which offer varying microclimates for quality grape production.

The Philosophy at Mont Rochelle is simple, "Keep it traditional".

Keeping it traditional allows all the wines to develop as Mother Nature intended, only when absolutely necessary does the winemaker step in and intervene.

Intense golden lime colour, sets precedence for clean citrus, and bruised apple and pear aromas, neatly held together by butterscotch and mineral undertones. The palate conjures up thoughts of intensive citrus and stone fruits, whilst also portraying clean acidity and minerality.

Decadently perfumed Merlot, prefaced by fresh spicy red fruits of plumbs, black cherries and mashed mulberry. Spicy cinnamon, lends a hand to merlot typical soft entry, with elegant and full tannins helping provide some structure and seriousness to the wine. A full bodied wine.

MIKO CHARDONNAY SUR LIE 2006 MIKO CHARDONNAY SUR LIE 2006
Bright straw yellow illuminates nutty nuances with citrus peel undertones all balanced by an arresting display of concentration and balance. Judicious use of coopers results in exquisite tension between fruit and wood while clean balanced acidity provides further balance and elegance.

Deep Strawberry pink colour, sets precedence for Raspberry red fruit and mineral aromas. A dash of viognier helps lift apricot and sweet fruit from the nose, whilst the pallet is dry crisp and clean and well weighted.

MONT ROCHELLE UNWOODED CHARDONNAY 2009 MONT ROCHELLE UNWOODED CHARDONNAY 2009
This wine is made to show the true character of the Chardonnay grape. Pale lemon to lime colour sets precedence for complex yet elegant wine showing, clean fresh citrus fruit with nuances of tropical fruit aromas including melon and cling peach. A crisp clean palate is balanced by creamy fleshy mouth feel, lending a hand to its complexity.
