Babel
The menu is seasonal and is always guided by what is available in the garden. Babel is open for breakfast every day of the week from 8h00 and for dinner from 18h00. Lunch is served Wednesday to Sunday from 12h00. Booking is essential.
The Greenhouse
At the Greenhouse tea garden, guests are served under the majestic old oaks or inside the Greenhouse on rainy winter days. The Greenhouse Restaurant is open every day of the week from 9h00 to 18h00 in summer and 9h00 to 17h00 in winter. Guests are seated on a first-come, first-served basis. No booking necessary, except for groups (13–25 persons).
The Spice House
The Spice House adjacent to the Healing Garden near the Greenhouse tells the tale of the ancient spice trade with the East. This tranquil green space houses various aromatic plants, such as cinnamon, nutmeg, cloves, greater galangal, ginger and turmeric. The Spice House is open for group lunch bookings only and the menu is inspired by fragrant spices from the garden.
The Old Bakery
On Wednesdays and Sundays, a five-course Carnivore Evening is presented in the Old Bakery. This evening is for meat lovers only, not for vegetarians! Expect a lively and cheerful ambience with live accordion music, fine red wine and even a bit of dancing. The five-course meaty meal is served at long, communal tables laden with the finest meat in all forms and flavours. Think thick-cut steaks, beef tartare with all the trimmings and a few traditional surprises too. Carnivore Evenings start at 18h30 and pre-booking is necessary.
On Monday, Tuesday and Friday evenings, an Italian-inspired feast is served in the Old Bakery from 18h00. The four-course set menu starts with an antipasti and salad offering with the freshest crudités from the garden. Homemade pasta is up next, followed by slice after slice of moreish pizza that is served straight from the wood-fired oven. The meal is rounded off with a delicious dolce and coffee. Dinner is served from 18h00 and reservations are essential.
