Johannesburg Cap Classique and Champagne Festival this weekend
17 August 2012  by Cap Classique Producers Association
Now in its third year, the annual Johannesburg Cap Classique and Champagne Festival presented by MasterCard, promises to be a highlight on the social calendars of bubbly lovers in Gauteng. This sparkling event will take place on 18 and 19 August 2012 (12h00 to 17h00 daily) at the Wanderers Club in Illovo.
Boasting some of the country’s top Cap Classiques from estates such as Colmant, Graham Beck Wines, Krone, La Motte, Môreson, Pierre Jourdan, J.C. le Roux, Pongracz, Simonsig, Steenberg and Villiera, the festival will offer patrons the opportunity to sip and sample the finest of bubblies without having to venture into the Winelands. World renowned Champagnes will be presented by brands such as Billecart Salmon, Tribaut and Veuve Clicquot.

Adding to this premier experience, visitors will be able to buy wines at exceptional prices at the festival, affording them the perfect opportunity to stock up for the festive season. Renowned retailer Norman Goodfellow will be on site to facilitate the delivery of purchases.

Tickets cost R250 per person and include access to the event, a complimentary tasting glass and a MasterCard contactless card used to purchase tastings. The card will be loaded with 10 electronic ‘coupons’ that are included in the ticket price, but additional tasting coupons will be available for purchase at the festival.

Tickets can be purchased through www.webtickets.co.za, and MasterCard cardholders will benefit from a 10% discount on this price, if they pay using their MasterCard card. Furthermore, MasterCard cardholders will also enjoy a 10% discount on Cap Classiques and Champagnes purchased from the exhibitors at the festival, if these purchases are made using their MasterCard card.
