Meander the lush
green lawns and drink in the surrounding beauty of the Constantia Valley whilst
sipping and sampling a selection of South Africa’s finest wines paired with
delectable canapés and mouth-watering dishes prepared by top chefs Bertus
Basson, Brad Ball, Peter Tempelhoff, Christian Harbeck, Edgar Osojnik, Shyam
Longani, Garth Almazan and Jacques Theron.
Wines producers
from further afield in the winelands will be joining Constantia producers
Buitenverwachting Wine Farm, Beau Constantia Vineyards, Constantia Glen, Groot
Constantia, Klein Constantia, Eagles’ Nest Wines and Steenberg Vineyards to
offer wine lovers a taste of fresh, crisp wines that will tantalise taste buds.
Fine wine and
food pairing exhibitions, art, live music and performances, and an antique and
collectables market all add to the ambience of a festival embodying a certain sense
of classic style and individuality.
2015 also sees
the Constantia Valley winemakers teaming up with Sommeliers to present festival
goers with five brief intimate wine tastings. These sessions will offer the avid wine lover an insight into the
passion, efforts and wizardry of winemakers to produce this nectar of the gods.
Bookings for
these workshops will be on a first-come-first-served basis and in order to
avoid disappointment it is suggested that patrons make an advance booking
emailing enjoy@finewineevents.co.za. The full workshop programme is available on
our website and there will be no additional cost to patrons for attendance.
Selected wines
will be available for purchase at cellar door prices on the day. Tickets to the festival will be able to be
bought from participating local and regional wine estates or online from www.webtickets.co.za and cost R450 per person. This includes your festival glass, tasting of 200 wines from a carefully selected line-up of the best that South Africa has to offer as well as the gastronomic extravaganza which will be on offer.
