In Songs from the Heart, well-known soprano, Louise Howlett, and mezzo soprano, Jolene McCleland, will take centre with an enchanting programme of songs, arias and lieder reflecting on love and life. The musical accompaniment is provided by accomplished pianist and musical director, Stefan Lombard, and clarinetist, Visser Liebenberg.
With four leading musicians on stage, the audience can look forward to breathtaking interpretations of Shubert’s Shepherd on the Rock, Dvorak’sSong to the Moon, Rachmaninov’s Vocalise, the Flower Duet by Delibes and a medley of Lehar’s Mein Herr Marquis and Dein is mein ganzes Herz, amongst many others.
The performance on Sunday 31 July takes place in the intimate music room of the Nederburg Manor House in Paarl and starts at 5pm.
The ticket price includes sherry on arrival, Nederburg Brut poured during interval, plus iconic Nederburg wines paired with a delicious finger supper, traditionally served after the concert.
