Easter time offers an array of experiences which have been planned to entertain and indulge all ages. On Friday 14th April and Sunday 16th, there will be pony rides for the children and also an Easter Egg Hunt. There will be additional attractions such as egg painting and games on the Boschendal Werf Lawns.
Families can book a Picnic Basket filled with Boschendal goodies and pick up a bottle or two of the Estates well known wines.
Picnics begin from 12h00 with the Easter Egg hunt starting at 12h30. The cost is R395 for two adults, or R210 for one. The cost for a child’s picnic is R150 for children up to 12 years old – this includes the Easter Egg hunt and the pony rides. Guests can bring their own fold up tables chairs and blankets.
The farm’s Executive Chef Christiaan Campbell is offering in The Werf Restaurant, also on the Friday and Sunday, a three-course meal of plated and shared dishes produced from the farm’s fresh produce.
The Friday 14th meal is dinner served from 19h00 and the Sunday 16th is a lunch served from 12h00. The meal includes a farm style starter, a delicious main course and dessert.
Advanced reservations are required for these two meals.
Throughout the Easter Weekend from Good Friday to Easter Monday an Easter themed traditional Buffet Lunch will be served in the Rhone Homestead, a beautiful example of Cape Dutch Architecture. Lunch starts at 12h00. Offered at R295 per person, advance reservations are necessary.
When going, please remember to take a large basket with you to pop into the Farm Shop and Deli to pick up some home-made Hot Cross Buns, other baked goodies, vegetables and saladings from the Werf Garden onto which The Werf Restaurant faces.
