Peter Finlayson shares his humbling experiences at three Wilderness Safari camps...
Few places in the world evoke as much emotional 'sense of place' as the Okavango Delta! It is a rare jewel in the context of a mostly dry and arid Southern Africa. A snapshot in our historical time frame has seen this magical water garden become a number one destination for nature connoisseurs where their dreams can be fulfilled. In this same time frame, supreme sensibilities have reigned in defending the raw value of an extraordinary untouched and pristine slice of planet earth. The opportunity to spend seven days visiting three camps in the Okavango Delta last week can but only be described as being thoroughly spoilt! The journey was centred around flying the Bouchard Finlayson flag and offering wine service training to camp staff members. It was also an opportunity to survey the placement of BF wines in these camps. |
