Over and above their planet-friendly appeal, these quality, pocket-pleasing wines are ideal for all your summer indoor and outdoor entertaining, and are the ultimate companion for hikes, picnics, camping and festivals.
The four wine ranges available in the new Prisma packs are Drostdy-Hof, Vinot, Chatta’ Box and the Obikwa. The Drostdy-Hof and Vinot Prisma ranges carry quality vintage varietal wines, whilst Chatta’ Box and Obikwa feature more cheerful, fun loving quality certified blends.
Making quality wine more convenient and affordable, the ultra-light, innovative 1-litre octagonal Tetra Prisma packs boast a screwcap that is easy to open and reseal. Available at the same price as regular 750ml glass bottles which means two extra glasses of wine because of the massive cost saving on the packaging, there’s no excuse not to invite extra friends round this summer! And you will be helping the environment too. At 40% lighter than glass bottles, the new Prisma packs reduce packaging waste by up to 90%.
Watch out for the fun-loving Prisma packs at leading outlets and let your friends know it’s party time.
Prisma wine range
Drostdy-Hof
Known for its quality and versatility, Drostdy-Hof is now available in three new varietals available only in the Prisma packs: Sauvignon Blanc, Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon Rosé.
Vinot
Vinot (pronounced with a silent-T) is a completely new range of quality wines. Watch out for the unique hero cartoon characters such as Nosey Parker and Penelope Proe created by well known cartoonist Frans Groenewald to remind you that wine should be fun and cool to drink. The Vinot range comprises Chenin Blanc, Merlot and Rose.
Chatta’ Box
Chatta’ Box is a wine with a cheeky sense of humour that will show you how wine can be fun. The first ever interactive packaging, you can even write messages on the actual pack. And with two extra glasses than a regular bottle of wine, you can invite two more friends for the same price! It comes in off-dry, easy drinking white and red blends: Witty White and Rambling Red.
Obikwa
Previously a wine only available for export, Obikwa is now available in the new affordable Prisma pack. Aptly named after the Obikwa people who used the Ostrich egg to carry life giving water in their harsh habitat, the Prisma pack is a new ultra-modern vessel to carry wine. This cheerful range comprises four new blends: Crisp White, Rich Red, Blush Rosé and Slightly Sweet.
Benefits of Prisma packaging:
Innovative, convenient and entirely recyclable, these slender, light packs are easy to carry, unbreakable and take up very little shelf space. The screw cap provides added convenience making them easy to open and reseal and easy to store. Having the screw cap also means no more cork-taint. The Prisma pack cools rapidly, takes only a fraction of the time to cool to the ideal drinking temperature, compared with glass. Impermeable to light and completely sterile, Prisma packs have a lifespan of twelve months unopened, and four days once opened. Value for money is another added bonus as 1 litre of quality wine in a Prisma pack costs the same as wine in a 750ml glass bottle owing to the cost saving of eliminating glass, cork and capsules. That means two extra glasses - eight glasses as opposed to the usual six glasses of wine from the regular 750 ml bottle.
Estimated retail prices for the 1-litre Prisma wines:
Drostdy-Hof: R25.99 – R27.99
Vinot: R22.00 – R24.99
Chatta’ Box: R19.99
Obikwa: R18.99
