The 2009 'Landbouweekblad' Woman Winemaker of the Year was announced on Thursday, July 30, at the Lord Charles Hotel, Somerset West.
Ntsiki Biyela, winemaker at Stellekaya, will fulfilll her role as female ambassador in the wine industry. Ntsiki entered her 2006 Cabernet Sauvignon for the competition.
The Landbouweekblad Woman Winemaker of the Year is, apart from her exceptional wines, judged according to her overall personality, her view of the wine industry and her career goals.
