Danie Cronjé, the Director of Liquor Law Services at Cluver Markotter Incorporated confirmed during his presentation that the Regulations under the Western Cape Act which have been published for public comment earlier this year have been amended and will be published in September. Certain parts of the Act will be put in operation in September or October to enable the responsible MEC to appoint certain staff members required in terms of the new Act. The remainder of the Act will be put into operation in early 2012.
